Receiving Your Cabinet Shipment
Important inspection protocols, freight curbside delivery guidelines, and step-by-step instructions for receiving your palletized cabinet order smoothly.
4 Steps to Receive Your Freight Delivery
Freight shipments require active inspection before signing the Delivery Receipt (BOL).
01
Curbside Delivery Call
The freight carrier will contact you 24–48 hours prior to schedule a specific 4-hour delivery window. Someone over 18 must be present.
02
Inspect Pallets & Box Counts
Before signing anything, count every box against the packing slip. Inspect shrink wrap for tears or crushed corner boxes.
03
Note Any Damage on BOL
Honest pricing, clear specifications, and no hidden fees. What you see is what you get.
04
Report Within 48 Hours
Unpack boxes immediately and submit any concealed damage claims or missing items within 48 hours to guarantee free replacement.
Understanding Freight Curbside Delivery
All standard cabinet orders ship via Freight LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) on wooden pallets.
- Liftgate Included: The delivery truck is equipped with a hydraulic liftgate to lower pallets from truck bed to street curb level.
- Curbside Drop Off: Freight drivers are not authorized to carry boxes inside your home, garage, or upstairs.
- Preparation: Have two able-bodied adults ready to move individual boxes from the curb into your dry storage space or home.
Concealed Damage & Replacement Policy
We pack cabinets using thick corner guards and heavy corrugated cardboard, but freight transport can occasionally cause internal shock.
- 48-Hour Inspection Window: Open every box within 48 hours of delivery to inspect door panels and frames.
- Hassle-Free Replacement: Photos of damaged parts submitted within 48 hours receive priority rush replacement shipping at zero cost to you.
- Do Not Assemble Damaged Parts: Keep all original box packaging until inspection is complete. Do not attempt to install damaged parts.
Shipping & Receiving FAQ
Answers to frequently asked questions about freight tracking and delivery logistics.
How long does shipping take from order placement?
Ready-To-Assemble (RTA) cabinet orders typically ship out of our regional warehouses within 2–5 business days. Transit time via freight carrier adds another 2–5 business days depending on your location. Assembled cabinets take 7–12 business days prior to dispatch.
What if a box arrives damaged on the outside?
Do NOT refuse the entire shipment unless more than 50% of the boxes are crushed beyond recognition. Accept the pallet, take clear photos of the damaged box while still on the truck, and clearly write 'DAMAGED BOX - Item # / Box #' on the Bill of Lading (BOL) before signing. Then submit a claim via our claims portal within 48 hours.
Can the truck drive up a narrow residential driveway or dirt road?
Freight deliveries are made using 53-foot semi-trucks or 28-foot box trucks. If your street cannot accommodate a large truck (e.g. narrow alley, low hanging trees, island ferry access), please notify us when placing your order so we can arrange a smaller delivery shuttle or terminal pickup.
Can I pick up my cabinet order directly from a local warehouse?
Yes! Free warehouse pick-up is available at all 8 distribution centers (GA, TX, CA, FL, IL, UT, MA, VA). Select 'Warehouse Pickup' at checkout to eliminate shipping fees.
Need to Submit a Freight Claim or Tracking Inquiry?
